Quickhash-GUI v3.3.4 Apple OSX

After a couple of years of trying, I am delighted to bring v3.3.4 of QuickHash-GUI back to Apple Mac users. This version has been tested on OSX Monterey v12.6 on an Intel Core i9 and an M1 Silicon based Mac running Sonoma v14, and it works on both. I can't say if it will work on M2 Macs or versions of OSX beyond Sonoma.

This download is for Apple OSX users. The download is now supplied as a DMG that should simply mount on your system allowing the user to copy the application to the /Applications folder.

It will not work on earlier versions of OSX prior to Big Sur because Apple decided to move their static libraries to a linker cache. If you have an older version of OSX, then the last version of Quickhash-GUI that you can use is v3.2.0.

This new version 3.3.4 includes a significant number of fixes and improvements since the last release I managed to get out for OSX (which was v3.3.1) and it addresses several reported bugs

How to run :

  1. Download the zip, and extract all
  2. Double click the DMG to mount it
  3. Copy the QuickHash-GUI app to your /Applications folder. Double click, and it MAY just run.
  4. You may have grant execution permission for the extracted .app in your Apple security settings if it does not run.
  5. You may also need to give specific executable permission at the terminal : sudo chmod +x /Applications/Quickhash-GUI.app/Contents/MacOS/Quickhash-GUI
  6. You may also have to allow "Apps downloaded from anywhere" in your security settings if it still does not run.
  7. Double click to launch. If it still does not run, I can not help you.

Please do consider donating if QuickHash-GUI is useful to you. Especially if you value this OSX release because it has taken me HOURS to get it to you.
