QuickHash v2.8.4 for Apple Mac OSX
A newer version of QuickHash is available
v2.8.4 of QuickHash is now available for Apple Mac OSX. This was built using Sierra as a 32-bit application which should hopefully just work, so long as you grant it permission to run in the General Security Settings of your Apple Mac system:
It is not a signed version, though in the future I may look at creating signed versions of the program as well as unsigned versions.
SHA1- hash of the zip download : 36E6922CD7BB6E6B50C1E2A82EDE8DAC32BE09DE. You will obviously need a different way to compute the hash of the downloaded QuickHash zip file if you have not yet run it! To do that, simply use openssl which is built into to OSX. So launch a terminal, navigate to the folder where your download is and then simply type what you can see in the screenshot below (openssl sha1 QuickHash.zip). Note in this example, my downloaded zip is in the folder 'Documents' and I have navigated to it using 'cd Documents'.
Can this be used with Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and would it improve Flash stream viewing using Firefox 48.0.2?
Yes to first question, and no to the second.
