Following increasing demand over the last few years, I am excited to announce the availability of an instructor led online training course for all users of QuickHash-GUI. This is not pre-recorded – it will be a live instructor led class with all participants joining live.
Despite the intuitive design of the program, and relative simplicity, there is still a demand for official training for two reasons.
- Most notably, to help users who use QuickHash-GUI in forensic science regulated work area, such as law enforcement and government agencies. The training has been designed, primarily, due to the increasing necessity across the world for those people who are involved in digital forensics, or any judicial area that relies on digital evidence, to be accredited and regulated by a Forensic Science Regulator for which QuickHash-GUI may form a part of those accredited workflows. The tool is often used as part as backup processes, validation exercises, dual-tool corroboration amongst others.
- Having received questions over the years, common themes have emerged. And it is still the case that some users who have used the tool for many years still discover features they were unaware of. So this training will help all users get the most from the functionality.
About the Course
- The delivery mechanism will be via GoTo Meeting
- The link to the GoTo Meeting Course will be issued to all customers by e-mail a day or so before the start date. Please ensure this domain is unblocked by your e-mail provider!
- A download link to some sample training data will also be e-mailed to customers at the same time.
- When enrolling on the course, all users MUST use an e-mail address that is reliable as all links will be sent to it. Ensure this domain is unblocked!
- Video and audio is not essential for participants but it is encouraged. I’d like the classes to be interactive as much as possible
- To start with, courses will run at around 14:00 UK time to allow as many people globally to attend within waking hours.
- Enrolment is open and users are to purchase a seat via my SumUp store here. Payment by card (preferred) or PayPal will be accepted.
- Bulk Government enrolment of multiple people is possible as I have all the things in place that I believe I need to be a service delivery to government. But of course the sign up process is likely to be a manual process. Please e-mail me at tedsmith@quickhash-gui.org if you require a government enrolment plan.
- All attendees will receive a certificate upon completion of the course, complete with a validation hash unique to them (as you might expect!) derived via a formula known only to me, and records will be retained by me for that purpose (name, e-mail address and validation hash only)
- If you require a dedicated class for just your own workforce, please e-mail me and I will do my best to host one for you as a dedicated service.
